Course Objectives The aim of this course is to examine the regulations in the Turkish Criminal Law system and international law in order to prevent violence against women.
Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Define the concept of violence against women.
  • Anallyze the regulations on women in the Turkish Penal Code No. 5237.
  • Explain the regulations for women in the Criminal Procedure Law No. 5271.
  • Discuss the regulations and jurisprudence on women in the Law No. 5275 on the Execution of Criminal and Security Measures.
  • Compare national and international regulations in terms of prevention of violence against women.
Course Description This course covers the regulations in the Turkish Criminal Law system and international law in terms of preventing violence against women.
